My client was charged with domestic violence assault after an alleged fight with her boyfriend. After investigating the case myself, it became clear that the arresting officer's interpretation of events was flawed. We rejected the offer made at the dispositional conference and elected to proceed to trial. I explained the issues with the arrest to the prosecutor. The State dismissed the case prior to jury selection.
